Thank God for the freedom of speech that allows us to say our opinions in different situations. Even though we have this freedom, we should not misuse it, and sometimes it is better to be quiet to protect ourselves and our relationships.

Many times, keeping quiet is wise because words are like eggs. Once spoken, we cannot retrieve them. We may apologize if what we say hurts someone, but that does not mean the person offended will hurt less or that the person will forget.

So, here are 4 reasons to put a lid on it sometimes!

1. You will be a great communicator

Do you know that an important part of communication is listening? So how will you be able to listen effectively when all you do is talk? Listening allows you to give your attention to the person you are communicating with so that when you speak, your words are relevant and beneficial to the listener and make absolute sense. Therefore, improve your communication skill by listening more and talking less.

2. You will be more intuitive
